Emma goes Glam..

Aunt Chelsea works at a little store called "Libby Lu." Unfortunately for Aunt Chelsea, "Libby Lu" is going out of business at the end of the month. She had really wanted Emma to come into her store and get a "Glam Makeover." Well, her wish came true, lol! Emma was in hog heaven as she had her hair, makeup and nails done. She even got to go through the store and pick out special treats to take home. Thanks Aunt Chelsea and Caroline for making Em feel like the Princess she is! HA HA HA!

What I miss and not miss about Korea

So now that I am back in the U.S. of A. and have my lovely laptop back, I figured I would write about something that goes through my mind everyday. Things I miss or don't miss about Korea. I absolutely miss the experience and doing something new and different almost everyday.

Things I Miss about Korea:

-My BFFs, :(

-Buying Socks on the street!
-Emma's pre-school

-Seoul, there was so much more I wanted to explore there!

-my faux purchases

-Beef on a leaf

-The kindness of "most" strangers

-public transportation, it was nice to not have to drive 2 hrs home after shopping all day

-the little Korean makeup/beauty stores

-underground shopping

-being able to eat in peace because the ajumma would take my kids at a restaurant
-cheap Korean prices
Things I Don't Miss about Korea

-having to turn my hot water on every time I wanted to use it

-not being able to "run" to the store

-Target, I am amazed by that place!

-traffic

-driving in said traffic
-being stared at

-lack of options at the PX
-the commissary, lol!

I'm sure there are much more, but that's the main list for now. Dave leaves tomorrow to go back to Korea and I almost want to go back with him, lol! But I am really enjoying Texas and all it has to offer right now, lol! Classes start back for me on the 26th, so I will try my very hardest to keep up with the blog while doing that and chasing after the kiddos! We miss everyone!!!

Just a little FYI

I can't blog right now because I broke our laptop.  When I say "I" it's because I was the last person to use it before it died.  So of course, I have been blamed.  LOL!  I promise to put all the pics up as soon as it gets back from the "doctor."  I know you are all sitting there in suspense waiting for me to post, just kidding.  I also need help coming up with a new name for our blog.  Bring on the suggestions!!!  We miss everyone!!!

Please forgive me...

I know I should have updated as soon as we got in, but we ran into a few problemos. Jet lag has kicked our butts this time! The kids are doing great with it, well Mason is still having some night problems but nothing like Mommy and Daddy. Dave and I seem to not be able to sleep past 3am! So pretty much everyday I have felt like I was hit by a truck, a very large one. Thanks goodness we are here with my parents and they have been watching the kids! The flight was great, a few breakdowns by Emma and Mason, but nothing horrible. I did attempt to go shopping on my first day back in the states, but I failed. I was SO SO SO tired! Yesterday Dave and I ventured out to get cell phones. I got an iPhone!!! It's so cute! Kinda hard to get used to, but still fun! We did get a new car, but haven't actually "got" it yet. It was at another location in Texas, so we are waiting on it to get here before finalizing everything, let me just say now that I have the BEST husband in the world. I am a very spoiled girl! I have SO many pics to put up, a lot still from Korea and some from here. So hopefully soon when I have the patience to sit down and upload them without falling asleep...lol! I miss you BFFS and no I haven't forgot about you guys...I will call soon. I promise a better update soon...just give me some time, lol!!!

Less than 48 hours...

I think it's around 39...my math isn't great! Especially with 2 kids running amok and 5 suitcases. Yes I said 5. I have managed to not use up all 6. Now we do have 3 carry ons between the 4 of us. Wow, that's a lot of numbers in the first 5 sentences! This post will make my parents happy. I ALWAYS wait until the last minute to pack. Like hours before we leave for the airport last minute. I know, for someone who is very Type A, this is ODD. Anyway, I am almost totally packed and we aren't leaving for Seoul until tomorrow! I have no laundry left, the kids clothes are laid out and our clothes for Tuesday are in a separate bag. Go me! Why this new behavior might one ask? Well, Dave and I are taking different paths to get to the airport tomorrow. LOL, this should be one fun trip! We are each taking a kid as well, so everything has to be ready to go because it just can't be done when there are only one set of eyes and a million bags to load up! Emma and I will be going to Yongsan with BFFs Sarah and Eve. I have to pick the kids shot records up and some last minute street vendor shopping, don't laugh. It is the one thing I will miss most about shopping in Seoul...the accessories on the street! Dave has to run by our mail room on post and do something to the car so they are coming later. Emma and I will catch the airport bus from Seoul and meet the men at our hotel. What hotel? Why, the Best Western Incheon Airport! Who knew they had Best Westerns over here?? I still have no pictures to put up but I promise to overload your server when we get back to the states, and I have recovered from jet lag and a 12 hour flight with my family. LOL! So, my next post will probably be from TEXAS. See you guys soon!!! And to my BFFs, thanks for everything, I will miss you guys SO SO SO much and will think of you while strolling through Target. Love you guys! Thanks for making Korea so much greater than it already was!

Sorry to inform you...

that I probably won't be blogging(with pics at least) until we are back in the states. Dave took down our desktop for the packers and that is what I have all my pics saved on. So I have to blog about my girl's weekend and Christmas when I get home...plus the plane ride!!! We will be landing on the 30th at DFW!!! We are excited and sad. So much left to do here in Korea with less than a week to go!!

I'll let the Pics tell you...

...that Mason has learned to stand up...scare a mom to death why don't ya?! I went in to get him up from his nap, noticed he was in a super happy mood and decided to snap some pics...looked away for a minute and came back to him standing and laughing. Guess it's time to lower the crib huh?
