he did good...

To prove to me that he pays attention to all those lovely emails I send him, Dave sent an anniversary gift that he knew I would love. A HOT.PINK.MARC.JACOBS. purse. Lord, I love that man. Not just because of the purse, but because he knows me. Like, really knows me. Our anniversary is still 10 days away and I'll be shopping at the international bazaar, but I will miss that man more than ever. I am one lucky, lucky gal.

100th day of Kindergarten and Halloween again?

Emma's class celebrated their 100th day of Kindergarten by having a HUGE 100's celebration. They counted to 100 all day, by 1's, 5's, 10's...I think Emma loved it most because it included cereal necklaces, trail mix and cupcakes...who wouldn't?

Little beauty being distracted by the Mommy paparazzi in her class...
Counting each ingredient out to 10
What a beautiful hat you have there...

Mason's German school celebrated carnival/mardi gras/fasching whatever it really was...They got to dress up in costume and have their parade and party! Mason loved it! So much so, that he got strep and a stomach bug that same day! We have now named him bubble boy...
Oh this boy...
Mason and his teacher Elke (I pronounce it Erika and she's never corrected me, although Mason has plenty of times). And yes, that is a large pile of pretzels behind her! Lucky kids!

painting palooza

Yesterday was a busy day for us, compared to all those non-busy days we have...lol. Our new community activity center now hosts painting pottery parties (say that 3 times fast) and a good friend of ours booked them for her sweet baby's first birthday! We are blessed to have friends like Hillary and her girls in our lives! Sweet baby Heidi turned one and I'm so glad that we were able to be a part of it. The kids played in the indoor playground, munched on pizza and cake and then become mini Picasso's while painting their piggy banks. It was a wonderful way to spend a gloomy Saturday afternoon in Germany.

Birthday princess!
The awesome cake that Heidi's aunt Elle made for her! It also had 3 layers of flavor inside!!!
He was so focused on creating his beautiful masterpiece!
Notice the lips...I'm guessing she has to involve making funny faces in all her artistic contributions (ballet, painting, etc.) :)
No Saturday would be complete without a trip to Ikea! The kids were a bit bummed that the play place was packed full of German kids, so I quickly bought Ikea ice cream cones and drove them around in the cart. I have to say they were amazing the entire time, which doesn't happen often or ever... It must have been the ice cream.

Be my Valentine...

Teacher gifts all packaged and ready to hand out...my momma taught me well.
Mason is not really a morning person, so this is normal!
Emma with their valentine holders. One might forget that this was her first 'real' Valentine's Day since she has been in foreign schools most of her young life. Jealous much? :)
Our school's LOVE breakfast. It was a huge hit despite the foot of snow and ice we received the night before!
Precious Emma was a bit embarrassed at her paparazzi mom.

Happy Birthday to you....

It's not much, but I'm sure she'll love it! We love you Honey!!
